Shannon O. Parker

CRCM Executive Vice President, Chief Operations Officer

Before joining Delta Bank in 2006, Shannon started her career at the former Britton & Koontz Bank in Natchez, Mississippi. In her 27-year career she has worked in almost every capacity in banking including, deposit operations, paying and receiving teller, new accounts representative, loan assistant, supervisor of loan administration, and bank compliance officer. “Although I did not know it at the time each of these jobs were preparing me for the position that I hold today as Chief Operations Officer”. Community banking has changed greatly from early computer-based programs of the 1990’s to the cloud-based and mobile applications that we use today. “From the moment I entered banking there has been talk about checks going away and although they are still here, I have enjoyed seeing how quickly the banking industry has embraced emerging technology. I am pleased that Delta Bank can put mobile products with the latest technology in our customer’s hands”.

Shannon attended Northeast Louisiana University and is always eager to expand her education. She has earned her Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager designation from the American Bankers Association and her Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer designation from the Independent Community Bankers of America.

Shannon is active in her community. She is a Past President and member of the Rotary Club of Natchez and Treasurer of Natchez-Adams County Habitat for Humanity. She has actively participated in the construction of 5 houses helping families realize their dream of owning a home.

Shannon is a second generation American. Her father was born in war torn Germany and high on her bucket list is to visit his birthplace. This item was to be checked off her list in 2020 but was delayed due to COVID. With things slowly returning to normal hopefully she can check this off soon.

She and her husband, Fred, live in Natchez. On the weekends, you can find her working in her garden, canning vegetables, or driving a boat while her husband catches supper.
